Gakuen RP (anyone can join~)

((So, I'm thinking boarding-school type Gakuen Hetalia. What do you guys think? Yeah? ;3; ))

'This school is so big,' thought Ivan, as he stared down the hallways, eyes darting about quickly. He clutched his papers tightly between his fingers, hoping that the breeze from the other students walking by wouldn't blow the precious information from his hands. It was the beginning of another semester, and he had transferred from his school back home in Russia, when his teachers had discovered was a prodigy in the field of medicine two years ago. They all wanted to send him to the best school; the one that dealt with prodigies in several areas. He couldn't afford it, but his parents, bless them, spent those two years saving up their money to send him there.

He swallowed harshly. He had managed to find his first few classes, but it was now lunch time and he couldn't find the cafeteria. The small map he had confused him, and he got all turned around and didn't even know where he was anymore. He cleared his throat and stopped the nearest person who walked by. "Ah, excuse me..." he started, his accent sounding heavy even to him. "I... am thinking I am lost. I can't find... cafeteria? You can help, da?"

((That sounds good, alsdfkjlsd. ;3; Not entirely sure how boarding school works, but it's like, where they live at school, right? Would they have roommates and stuff? Also how old would they be, becauseihavenoidea.))

It was the first day of the new semester at school, and Alfred was glad to be back. Maybe that made him a nerd, but he didn't really care. After all, anyone would be excited for school if they were studying to be an astronaut! It was something he'd dreamed of since he was a little boy, and he'd just been accepted last semester into the prestigious World Academy. He'd been nervous at first, but it turned out to be a lot of fun, and he'd learned so much. The break from school had been unbearably boring in comparison, and he couldn't wait to get back. And now, here he was!

He was on his way to the cafeteria to eat lunch and look over the syllabus for his next class again when his thoughts were interrupted by a heavy Russian accent directed at him. He blinked, then turned to face the boy who had spoken, flashing him a friendly smile.

"Oh, hey! Sure I can help you! The cafeteria's just this way. I'm heading there, myself!"

((Yep, that's exactly it. There's the boys' dorms, and the girls' dorms. Think Harry Potter; they get rooms that are usually grouped by year, but girls and boys are in their own separate buildings, as opposed to Harry Potter. Each year has its own floor in the dorm house, and each floor has several rooms; two people per room. They are served breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and the food is typically nice and high-quality. Also, I was thinking normal high-school ages, so about 13-14 to 17-18 years old. Ah, I apologize if it's confusing. Ivan smiled, happy the boy didn't turn him down because he was weird. "Ah, spasi-- er, thank you. I'm glad that I am not being trouble. My name is Ivan Braginski. I transfer from Russia, and I study medicine." He folded up the papers, and put them in the pocket of his blazer and immediately took the blond boy's hand, covering the tanned appendage with his own two pale hands, shaking it gently, yet firmly. "Again, I thank you, Mr-..."

"Alfred F. Jones! But you can just call me Alfred." Alfred shook Ivan's hand enthusiastically, then led the way to the cafeteria.

"So, you're new here, huh? How d'you like it so far? It's pretty overwhelming at first, but once you get used to it I think you'll have a lot of fun!"

"Alfred." Ivan tested the name out on his tongue, thinking it over in his mind. He suddenly beamed, as if he remembered something. "Fredka! Ah, you do not mind if I call you Fredka, da? It is being... a little easier to say for me. It is Russian nickname for Alfred." He followed alongside the boy, smiling softly.

"Da, I am new here. I just started today, with this new semester. It is being very nice so far. The school is pretty, and much different from old school. My classes are formed to me and it is nice, bot having to be taking classes that are pointless to me. What is it like here?"

Alfred grinned at the nickname, finding it cute. "Sure, you can call me that! What about you, are there any nicknames for Ivan?"

He considered Ivan's question about the school. "Hmm... well, it's pretty hard compared to regular schools! But I guess you probably knew that already, huh? Anyway, it's a good thing if you like a challenge! And I dunno what the classes are like for medicine and stuff, but mine are a lot of fun, at least!"

"You can call me Vanya, if you wish. That is what my sisters call me." Ivan smiled, happy that Alfred liked his nickname.

As he listened to the other male talk about the school, he nodded at certain points, 'hmm'-ing at others. "It is nice, being able to focus in the area that you want to focus on, so it is not too challenging, I think. When you love something, you are always up for the challenge, da?" He nodded to himself, then smiled once again. "What subject is Fredka focusing in?"

"Vanya! Alright!" Alfred smiled, vaguely wondering if all Russian was as cute as these little nicknames. Or maybe it was just Ivan's warm enthusiasm.

He brightened as he was asked about his area of study, grin returning in full force. "Oh, I'm studying to be an astronaut!"

((WAIT HOW AM I BEING CUTE RIGHT NOW? ;3; ))

Ivan's smile grew as soon as Alfred said he was studying to be an astronaut. "Ah! You like space? My sisters and I would go out sometimes to just look at the stars..." Ivan blushed a little, remembering a certain time when they were laying on their back to gaze at the twinkling stars. "Ah, there was this one time, when I was... four, I think... my big sestr--... ses--," he paused, eyebrows furrowing together as he tried to pronounce the word correctly again, his accent taking a firmer hold in his excitement of telling a silly story. "...My big sister... said once that they were just diamonds that the Tsars threw away, and said that shooting stars were diamonds that were falling back to earth." He smiled fondly. "...I asked her about astronauts, and she laughed and said that is why they are being so rich, da? They always come back with ships full of diamonds that they plucked from the sky."

Ivan glanced at Alfred and grinned, rubbing the back of his head. "I told her that if I ever met an astronaut, I'd ask him to bring me a diamond so that I could give it to her. Then my little sister got jealous." He laughed, cheeks pinkening a little bit.

((H-HOW ARE YOU NOT BEING CUTE. ;3; MAYBE THAT'S JUST YOUR DEFAULT SETTING. FUCK, I'M SCREWED. LOOK WHAT YOU'VE DONE TO ME.))

...Alright, so maybe it was just Ivan that was cute. Alfred smiled as he listened to Ivan's story, finding it to be amusing, and the blush on his cheeks endearing.

"Well, I'll tell you what. If I find any diamonds while I'm out there, I'll bring back one for each of them! Then they won't have to fight over it."

"Ah! You would do that for me?" Ivan beamed, taking Alfred's hands again. "Spasiba! That is being very kind of you, Fredka! I'm sure my sisters would be very happy."

There it was again; that little blush forming on his cheeks. Though this time, it was caused by Alfred's words. "Ah, nyet... You do not have to do that. I do not want to be too much trouble. Just my sisters is okay... They are being the only ones that matter." He smiled happily, dropping Alfred's hands.

Alfred found his grin widening as Ivan blushed again--why was he so cute?

"Well alright, if you say so. But look, we're here!" He waved his arm with a flourish as they entered the cafeteria. "Ta-da! The cafeteria!"
